High Commissioner of India to UK
H.E. Vikram K. Doraiswami joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1992. His initial posting was in the High Commission of Hong Kong as third secretary, following which; he served in the Indian Embassy in Beijing for 4 years. He has had the distinction of serving in the Prime Minister’s Office as the private secretary of the Prime Minister of India. His noteworthy stints also include his stint at India’s Permanent Mission to the UN as Political Counsellor and his posting as the Consul General of India in Johannesburg in South Africa. Over his long illustrious career, Mr. Doraiswami has served as India’s ambassador to Uzbekistan, the Republic of Korea and as India’s High Commission to Bangladesh. In between his foreign assignments, at the Ministry of External Affairs, He served as the Joint Secretary in the Americas Division, head of SAARC, and Bangladesh and Myanmar division. He was also tasked with setting up of a new division on Indo-Pacific at the MEA. He assumed charge as the High Commission of India to United Kingdom on 23 September 2022.

Sir Alok Kumar Sharma KCMG (Born 7 Sep 1967) is a British Conservative Party politician who served as President for COP26 from 2021 to 2022, having previously served as Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy from 2020 to 2021 and Secretary of State for International Development from 2019 to 2020. He has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Reading West since 2010.
Sharma served in Theresa May's government as Minister of State for Housing from 2017 to 2018 and as Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Employment from 2018 to 2019. In 2019, he was appointed to Boris Johnson's cabinet as Secretary of State for International Development. In the 2020 cabinet reshuffle he was promoted to being Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, an office in which he served until 2021. Sharma was President of the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) and negotiated the Glasgow Climate Pact.

Nicholas retired in 2003 and embarked on a plural career, serving on various financial institution boards and charitable organizations. Currently on sabbatical from his role as Chairman of Phoenix Group Holdings, Nicholas holds positions on the boards of Convex Group and Miller Insurance Services. His commitment to education is evident through his involvement with institutions like The King’s School, Canterbury, and initiatives such as National Numeracy, integrated into the Lord Mayor’s Appeal. Nicholas is deeply rooted in civic service, having served as Alderman for Tower Ward since 2017. He was elected the Conservative MP for Sutton and Cheam on 7 May 2015.

Professor Braganza is Dean of Brunel Business School and holds the Chair in Business Transformation. Prior to being appointed Dean, Professor Braganza was the Deputy Dean of the College of Business, Arts and Social Sciences. He is the Founder and co-Director of Brunel’s interdisciplinary Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence. The Centre and Lab are part of the wider Brunel’s AI Ecosystem, led by Professor Braganza. Most recently, Professor Braganza is part of a consortium that has won a €5.8 million bid for the ELOQUENCE EU project (2024-2027). His past collaborations with senior managers in organisations exemplified by BT, Microsoft, McDonald's, Astra Zeneca, Friends Provident, Volkswagen Financial Services and the various UN agencies have co-created knowledge and practical ways of implementing complex change programmes. The British Academy of Management elected Professor Braganza to the College of Fellows. He joined BAM initially as a doctoral student, then served on BAM Council as an elected member, founding the Organisational Transformation, Change and Development SIG, creating the conference track and, over the years, chairing the SIG and track along with serving on the SIG committee.
Sir Suma Chakrabarti

Sir Suma is Chair of the Board of Trustees of ODI and Adviser to the Presidents of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan on economic development, effective governance and international cooperation. Until July 2020, he served as the sixth President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for two four-year terms. During his tenure at the EBRD. Before becoming President of the EBRD, Sir Suma had a successful career in the UK civil service as Permanent Secretary at the Department for International Development (2002-2007) and the Ministry of Justice (2007-2012). Sir Suma’s earlier career was in international development, starting as an ODI Fellow in Botswana in the early 1980s, and encompassing a range of economic and administrative posts in the Overseas Development Administration (DFID’s predecessor) in London and in the UK office at the World Bank and IMF. He is an honorary Fellow of New College, Oxford University, an honorary bencher at the Middle Temple, and also holds honorary doctorates from the Universities of Sussex, East Anglia, and the Bucharest University of Economic Sciences, as well as prestigious honours from Kosovo, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Sir Suma was knighted in 2006 for his work in international development.

He has led KPMG’s centre for corporate governance excellence since 1993 and is responsible for overseeing a programme of around 40 seminars for senior board members per annum; and for developing thought-leadership, tools and guidance to assist directors in fulfilling their duties. He is a recognised expert in his field and has extensive experience of facilitating board effectiveness reviews and in advising on corporate governance matters including compliance with codes and regulation. Timothy chaired the European Confederation of Directors' Associations’ (ecoDa’s) working party on audit committees and speaks on corporate governance matters in Europe, Asia and the Americas.
