Dr. Abhijit Dasgupta

Prof. Dasgupta heads the data science programs of SP Jain, a business school accredited to TEQSA Australia having campuses in Dubai, Mumbai, Singapore and Sydney. He is also the point’s person for SP Jain’s international relations with universities in USA and Europe and in India handles inter-university collaborations with IIT Bombay and ISI Kolkata.
He is a career professional, having headed professional practices in technology for E&Y based out of India, then moved out to run the IT function for the largest retail company (Future Group) in India and later the largest print media company (Bennet Coleman) in the world, as Group CIO.
Thereafter he helped scale up media entertainment sports practice of Satyam Computers and later, set up an Analytics Product startup in the US; which got acquired, before joining SP Jain. He holds a PhD and is currently on the board of a few companies.

He is a former CEO of an award-winning Fintech firm. He is an IOD Fellow and cybersecurity expert. He has authored multiple books and serves as a mentor, professor, and advisor globally. He holds key roles in academic and industry cybersecurity committees, shaping AI and security policies.
