Late Lt. Gen. Jaswant Singh Ahluwalia

Late Lt. Gen. Jaswant Singh Ahluwalia, PVSM (Retd.), was a distinguished leader, scholar, and advocate of corporate governance. He served as the former President of the Institute of Directors (IOD) and the World Environment Foundation (WEF). A postgraduate in Electronics Engineering and an MBA, he received extensive training in leading manufacturing enterprises across France, the UK, the USSR, and Japan.

After an illustrious career in the Indian Army, he retired as the Director General of EME. A prolific author and editor, he contributed significantly to corporate literature and was a renowned trainer for top management in corporate governance and directorship programs. He was a Fellow Member of several esteemed Indian and international engineering and management institutions.

Lt. Gen. Ahluwalia also held leadership roles as the Chairman of the Institution of Engineers (India), Delhi, and President of the Delhi Management Association. Until his passing, he served as the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Quality and Safety Forum at the Institution of Engineers and was an esteemed member of numerous corporate and organizational boards. His legacy continues to inspire professionals in leadership, governance, and management.
