The Institute of Directors (IOD), India, has had a long-standing presence in the UK, hosting the annual ‘London Global Convention’ on Corporate Governance & Sustainability along with a ‘Global Business Meet’ at the House of Lords for the past 23 years. H.E. Vikram K. Doraiswami joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1992. His initial posting was in the High Commission of Hong Kong as third secretary, following which; he served in the Indian Embassy in Beijing for 4 years. He has had the distinction of serving in the Prime Minister’s Office as the private secretary of the Prime Minister of India. His noteworthy stints also include his stint at India’s Permanent Mission to the UN as Political Counsellor and his posting as the Consul General of India in Johannesburg in South Africa. Over his long illustrious career, Mr. Doraiswami has served as India’s ambassador to Uzbekistan, the Republic of Korea and as India’s High Commission to Bangladesh. In between his foreign assignments, at the Ministry of External Affairs, He served as the Joint Secretary in the Americas Division, head of SAARC, and Bangladesh and Myanmar division. He was also tasked with setting up of a new division on Indo-Pacific at the MEA. He assumed charge as the High Commission of India to United Kingdom on 23 September 2022.
The Rt. Hon. Douglas Garven Alexander, is a British politician who has served as Minister of State for Trade Policy and Economic Security since 2024, having previously held the role in the Department for Trade and Industry from 2004 to 2005. A member of the Labour Party, he has been Member of Parliament (MP) for Lothian East since 2024. He was previously MP for Paisley and Renfrewshire South, formerly Paisley South, from 1997 to 2015. His current responsibilities include trade strategy, free trade agreement (FTA) negotiations, UK-EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA) Implementation, Digital Trade Agreements, UK Conformity Assessment (UKCA), Mutual Recognition Agreements.
Ms. Tulip Siddiq was appointed Parliamentary Secretary (Economic Secretary to the Treasury and City Minister) at HM Treasury on 9 July 2024. She was elected as the MP for Hampstead and Highgate in July 2024.
Lord Karan Bilimoria, CBE, DL, FCA is the founder of Cobra Beer, Chairman of the Cobra Beer Partnership Limited, a Joint Venture with Molson Coors, and Chairman of Molson Coors Cobra India. In the Monde Selection, (the most prestigious quality awards for beer), the Cobra range have collectively been awarded a total of 128 Gold and Grand Gold medals since 2001, making it one of the most awarded beers in the world. He is the Founding Chairman of the UK India Business Council, a Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London, a former Chancellor of Thames Valley University (now the University of West London). He is a founding member of the Prime Minister of India’s Global Advisory Council. In 2006, he was appointed the Lord Bilimoria of Chelsea, making him the first Zoroastrian Parsi to sit in the House of Lords. He is an Honorary Life Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts Manufactures and Commerce (RSA), an Honorary Fellow of Sidney Sussex College Cambridge and was Chair of the Advisory Board of the Judge Business School, Cambridge University from 2015-2020. In December 2023, he was appointed as Lieutenant to His Majesty’s Commission of Lieutenancy for the City of London.
Mr. Vindi Banga joined Clayton Dubilier & Rice's (CD&R) London office in 2010 as Partner after a 33-year career at Unilever. At CD&R, he is the Chair of the firm’s global ESG initiative. He serves as Chair of Imperial College London, the UK Government Investments (UKGI), and palliative care charity, Marie Curie. He was the Senior Independent NED on the Board of GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) plc until July 2022 when he joined GSK spin-off, Haleon PLC’s, board as Senior Independent NED. He is also a NED on The Economist Group board. Mr. Banga is a Trustee of The Kamini and Vindi Banga Family Trust focusing on cancer research, and education through the arts. He holds a B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and a M.B.A. from the Indian Institute of Management (Ahmedabad).
Mr. Alok S. Kirloskar, is the Managing Director – SPP Pumps Limited, Britain’s leading pump manufacturer and the Managing Director of Kirloskar Brothers International B.V., (Kirloskar Brothers International B.V. is the holding company for the international business of Kirloskar Brothers Ltd.) He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University, after which he worked with Sonasoft Corporation (Microsoft GPC) at San Jose, California, USA, as Business Development Manager and also interned at Nasa Girvan Institute of Technology, Santa Clara, USA, and Toyota Motor Corporation, Torrance, USA.
Mr. Sanjay Kumar leads Corporate Strategy at Granules and is responsible for identifying growth levers and new business opportunities, Building organization capabilities for a future ready organization, Strategic Planning. He also leads the Sustainability Initiatives at Granules as one of the identified strategic growth drivers. He holds a B.Tech degree from IIT Kanpur and an MBA from IIM Bangalore (Merit list holder). He has completed the Chartered Finance Analyst program from CFA Institute, USA and has attended Stanford Graduate School of Business, as an exchange student. With over 20 years of experience, Mr. Kumar specializes in Corporate and Business Strategy, Identifying growth opportunities, Budgeting & Planning, Financial Modelling, Developing Business Case and Valuation. Prior to joining Granules, he held various positions at Viatris (formerly Mylan) and in the Indian Engineering Services.
Mr. M P Vijay Kumar is the Executive Director and Group CFO of Sify Technologies. He is also an Independent Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee on the Board of The Life Insurance Corporation of India and an Independent Director on the Boards of Geojit Financial Services Limited and Heritage Foods Limited. He also serves as a Member of the IFRS Interpretation committee of International Accounting Standards Board and IFRS Advisory Council of the IFRS Foundation, London. He served as Council Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (2016-2022), was Chairman of Accounting Standards Board and Ex Officio Member of National Financial Reporting Authority for the period 2019-2022. He was part of the CFO Forum, the National Committee on Financial Reporting and the Accounting Standards Board of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). His was also a Partner at chartered accountants’ firm, Yoganandh & Ram. Prior to them, he headed the Investment Banking portfolio in addition to being Company Secretary of Sundaram Finance Services Ltd., Chennai, and the Investment Banking arm of Sundaram Finance Limited.
Mr. Risto Siilasmaa is the Founder of F-Secure and WithSecure and serves as Chairman of WithSecure's Board, having led the company as President and CEO from 1988 to 2006. He is an active venture investor with over 30 investments via First Fellow Partners, where he is the general partner and sole limited partner. He chaired Nokia’s Board from 2012 to 2020, joining in 2008, and also chaired Elisa Corporation’s Board from 2008 to 2012. He currently chairs Upright and sits on the boards of F-Secure, Futurice, Pixieray, Quanscient, CybExer Technologies, and Hamina Wireless. Mr. Siilasmaa is a member of the International Advisory Board at IESE Business School and a Senior Advisor to BCG. In 2020-2023, he chaired the Finnish Government's Technology Advisory Board and was previously a member of the EU Global Tech Panel and the European Roundtable of Industrialists. He holds a Master of Science from Helsinki University of Technology and was awarded honorary doctorates by Aalto University in 2018 and L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University in 2019.

Mr. Pankaj Munjal's journey in the automotive industry began with a pivotal partnership between Hero and Steyr-Daimler-Puch (now Magna), introducing the Hero Puch moped to India. Starting on the shop floor as a Production Manager, he advanced to CEO, where he led the company to become a top exporter and earned the President's Award for its achievements. A strategic role at Briggs & Stratton further honed his skills in manufacturing and international trade. His leadership was instrumental in establishing a supply chain partnership with BMW, transforming Hero Motors into a competitive automotive force. At Munjal Kiriu and ZF Hero, he prioritized advanced manufacturing technologies, especially in chassis production. The acquisition of Hewland Engineering expanded HMC’s presence in the UK, emphasizing innovation in high-precision engineering. In 2024, HMC inaugurated a Technology Centre in Warwickshire, with a new centre underway for EV solutions. Now, as Chairman of HMC, Mr. Munjal focuses on sales, business development, and realizing HMC Valley in India as a global contract manufacturing hub, dedicated to advancing the industry through transformative partnerships.
Mr. M. Nagaraju, IAS, Secretary of the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, belongs to the 1993 IAS batch. He completed his post-graduation from the University of Hyderabad.Over the years, he served at state, national and international level in the areas of public order, revenue & development administration, tribal development, finance, international economic relations, industries and commerce, healthcare and State finances. In the State Government, he served as District Magistrate, Director, Tribal Welfare, Secretary /Principal Secretary of Health, Women and Child Development, Finance and Industries & Commerce departments. During 2004-08, he served in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs as Director in Japan/North America and in the World Bank Divisions. Thereafter, he was Advisor to the Executive Director at the World Bank in Washington DC (2008-2012). He was a visiting fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, USA (2012-13) and Visiting Research Scholar in Stonehill College in 2018-19. He joined as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Coal on 30.01.2020; promoted to Additional Secretary, Ministry of Coal from 03.11.2020 and continued in the same Ministry. Shri Nagaraju got promoted as Secretary to Government of India and was immediately appointed as Secretary, Department of Financial Services w.e.f. 19.8.2024.
The Rt. Hon. the Lord Goldsmith KC, is a distinguished British lawyer and politician, known for his significant contributions to law and public service. Born in 1960, he studied at King's College London and later earned a degree from Harvard Law School. He became a Queen's Counsel in 1994, establishing a reputation as a leading barrister. He served as the Attorney General for England and Wales from 2001 to 2007 under Prime Minister Tony Blair, where he provided key legal advice on pivotal issues. His tenure was marked by a commitment to upholding the rule of law and addressing complex legal challenges. Appointed as a life peer in the House of Lords in 2001, he has engaged in various legal and charitable endeavours post-appointment, focusing on international law, human rights, and constitutional matters. He has also held roles in numerous organizations, contributing to public discourse on critical legal issues. Through his career, Lord Goldsmith has been recognized for his legal expertise and dedication to public service, influencing both legal practice and policy in the UK and beyond.
Mr. G. Kamala Vardhana Rao is a distinguished IAS officer from the Kerala Cadre, renowned for his exemplary leadership and extensive contributions across a wide range of public service domains. In his current regulatory role as the Chief Executive Officer of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, he has taken several ground breaking initiatives in the field of Food Safety. He has been instrumental in setting new standards for 14 types of millets, which was highlighted by the launch of “Shree Anna – A Holistic Overview” by the Prime Minister. He also organized the International Millets Conference and the Global Food Regulatory Summit, elevating India’s role in the global food safety landscape. His tenure at FSSAI has seen the initiation of modernizing Street Food through the “PRASADAM” project, which emphasizes hygienic protocols and food safety. Additionally, he has introduced innovative IT portals such as Food-‘O’-Copoeia, SaNGRAHA, and a Common Digital Dashboard, aiming to enhance regulatory transparency and support the food industry. He has served with distinction as Chairman and MD of the India Tourism Development Corporation Limited. During his tenure, he managed the disinvestment of key properties and coordinated food supplies for all healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr. Vivek Lall is the Chief Executive of General Atomics Global Corporation (GA), overseeing operations across five continents. GA is known for advanced defense and aerospace systems, including unmanned aircraft, satellite surveillance, high-powered laser and rail gun technologies, as well as thermonuclear fusion research. Dr. Lall has been on several high-profile boards, including the Quad Investors Network Advisory Board by The White House in 2023 and the NATO Science and Technology Organization Technical Team through the Pentagon. He also contributes to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s International Advisory Group and serves on the boards of the US Japan Business Council and the Global Board of Directors for the US India Business Council. Dr. Lall’s previous leadership roles include Vice President of Aeronautics Strategy and Business Development at Lockheed Martin and Chief Executive at General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems. At Boeing, he led engineering and marketing teams, notably as Vice President and India Country Head for Boeing Defense Space & Security. He had received the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award (2022) and the “World Leader Award” from the House of Lords, UK (2023). Dr. Lall, also a trained private pilot, holds multiple advanced degrees and has authored over 100 articles.
Mr. Eugene Mayne is the Founder & Group Chief Executive of Tristar Group, UAE. Mr. Paritosh Mathur heads the Wholesale Banking division of IDFC FIRST Bank and is a member of the Executive Committee. At IDFC, he is responsible for relationship management and product coverage of large corporate clients. Additionally he ensures delivery of banking products belonging to Financial Markets, Trade Finance and to Cash Management domains. He has been in this role since January, 2020 prior to which he was head of Financial Markets Group at IDFC, since 2015. He has also been associated with Fixed Income and FX markets at ICICI Securities, JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America and Deutsche Bank prior to joining IDFC. He has handled roles of managing trading desks that covered Rates, FX and derivative products and managed debt sales & origination. Mr. Mathur has been a contributor to the growth of Indian debt & foreign exchange markets through active participation in market forums of CII, FEDAI and FIMMDA. He has served earlier as a Board member of FIMMDA and as a member of the managing Committee of FEDAI. He is a member of the National Council on Financial Markets under the aegis of CII. Mr. Mathur is an alumnus of IIT, Kharagpur and IIM, Lucknow.

Mr. Raghav Singhal is the Managing Director and CEO of ICICI Bank UK PLC. Mr. Singhal has been with the ICICI Bank for over 24 years and has extensive experience in retail banking, private banking, treasury business and credit cards. As Retail Business Head for West 2 region in India, he developed and executed business strategy basis micro markets opportunity, customer insights and ecosystem based 360 degree banking. During his tenure in Treasury business, he oversaw the strategy to transform the treasury business from corporate focused to de-risked granular business by scaling up the SME, retail and bullion businesses. He was responsible for laying foundation for strong bullion business at ICICI Bank Limited. He was also involved with the scaling of the remittance business to capture the remittance opportunity in the India – Middle East corridor. He independently launched the commercial cards business and was part of the core team that setup the credit cards business at ICICI Bank Limited. Ms. Helen Brand is Chief Executive of ACCA, the global body for professional accountants. She has led ACCA through a period of global growth which has seen its membership double to more than quarter of a million. Mr. Ovais Sarmad appointed as Deputy Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), at the Assistant Secretary-General level. The appointment has been made after consultation with the Conference of Parties through its Bureau. Mr. Sarmad will succeed Richard Kinley of Canada, to whom the Secretary-General and the Executive Secretary are grateful for his dedicated service to United Nations climate change efforts over the past 20 years. Mr. Derek Blair has been a Chartered Accountant since 1994. He is one of two partners at Pinkham Blair, a general practice which he co-founded in 2004. The business specialises in assisting “corporate refugees” – those who have left large organisations to set up their own business. Graduating from Essex University in Accountancy, Finance & Economics, he joined BDO in 1990 as an audit trainee, before moving to a small firm, Charles Rippon & Turner, based in Willesden Green, London, where he qualified as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant. From there, he moved to Morgan Brown & Spofforth (MBS) in Clerkenwell as an audit manager and became a partner in 2001, focusing mostly on corporate finance projects. The Lord Johnson of Lainston CBE was Minister of State in the Department for Business and Trade between 7 February 2023 and 5 July 2024. He was previously Minister of State (Minister for Investment) in the Department for International Trade between 24 November 2022 and 7 February 2023. He was Minister of State jointly in the Department for International Trade and the Cabinet Office between 2 October 2022 and 28 October 2022. IIFCL is a wholly-owned Government of India company set up in 2006 to provide long-term financial assistance to viable infrastructure projects through the Scheme for Financing Viable Infrastructure Projects through a Special Purpose Vehicle called India Infrastructure Finance Company Ltd (IIFCL), broadly referred to as SIFTI.

Mr. Mark Babington is the Executive Director of Regulatory Standards at the Financial Reporting Council. He leads the division responsible for the FRC technical and public policy work covering audit, corporate reporting, corporate governance and stewardship, actuarial and the FRC Lab. Prior to joining ExCo, he led the FRC’s UK Audit Policy programme, measures to support greater competition in the UK audit market and work to support the reform of international standard setting for auditors, by global regulatory authorities. Mr. Virendra Sharma is a Former Member of Parliament for Ealing Southall, United Kingdom elected in the Ealing Southall by-election on 19 July 2007. The by-election was called following the death of the sitting Labour MP, Piara Khabra. He was re-elected in 2010, 2015, 2017 and 2019. Mr. Sharma has featured in the top ten list of best MPs in the UK, ranked 8th out of 650 for his openness and responsiveness to constituents. He was born in India and speaks fluent Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu. He served as a councillor in Ealing for 25 years including a term as Mayor and was a list candidate for the GLA in 2004. He came to Hanwell, UK from India in 1968 and started out as a bus conductor before studying at London School of Economics on a Trade Union Scholarship. Mr. Nasser Munjee was instrumental in setting up both housing finance as well as infrastructure finance in India through HDFC and IDFC. Since then, he has served on 30 public and private sector Board including Tata Motors, Jaguar Land Rover, ABB India, Ambuja Cements and many others. Currently, he is Chairman of Tata Motor Finance as well as MMTC PAMP and serves as Audit Chair on Cummins, GREENKO (India’s largest renewable energy company) as well as Indian Hotels (Taj chain of Hotels in India). Besides Corporate Boards, he is active in the Non-Profit sector and is Chairman of Aga Khan Foundation (India) and the Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (India). He also Chairs the South Asia Centre of the London School of Economics. He helped set up the Indian Institute of Human Settlements in Bangalore and serves as a trustee on the Charles Correa Foundation, Welham School, and the CanCare Hospital in Mumbai. He was the President, of the Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
