Drawing on Gallup's research into India's workplaces, the perspectives of around 200 IOD members, and extensive conversations with senior leaders, the resulting report, Rebuilding Indian Workplaces for the Future, offers a candid picture of how engagement, culture and management are shifting beneath the surface of Indian organisations.
Building on the report, the webinar focuses on closing the gap between values and everyday practice, selecting the right managers and equipping them to lead effectively. Leaders will share what is working, where implementation is difficult and what organisations can do next.

Ms. Claire de Carteret is the managing director of Gallup’s APAC region. In her role, she leads APAC teams in designing and implementing solutions that help Gallup’s clients meet and exceed their organisational goals. Claire provides strategic direction for her region on shaping client solutions, executing business development strategy, marketing for events and products, and increasing customer engagement. She is a dedicated strengths performance coach and leader for team members in APAC. Prior to her role in APAC, Claire was the regional director for EMEA, including the UK, Europe and the Middle East. Claire also facilitates and leads Gallup learning courses. She is an executive coach, certified through Coaching Australia and is also a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach. Claire has an MBA a from the Australian Institute of Business. She also has a graduate diploma of business administration and a bachelor’s degree in education and international studies from the University of Technology Sydney.
Mr. Shiv Shivakumar currently serves as the Operating Partner at Advent International. Prior to his role at Advent International, he held the position of Group Executive President, Corporate Strategy at Aditya Birla Group. Before joining Aditya Birla Group, Mr. Shivakumar served as the Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer at PepsiCo Holdings Private Limited in India. Additionally, he has held the position of CEO for emerging markets at Nokia in his previous professional endeavours.
Mr. Shivakumar is an engineer from IIT Madras and followed it up with management courses at IIM Calcutta and The Wharton Business School. He is a distinguished alumnus from both IIT Madras and IIM Calcutta. He has received many awards for leadership, turnaround, transformation, brand building, HR practices etc. He was awarded the KPMG- AIMA award for Outstanding leadership and the Asian Association of Management organisations Asia leadership award.
Mr. Shivakumar is also a prominent speaker, delivering over 25 convocation speeches at various top Business Schools like IIM Kozhikode, IIM Trichy, IIM Nagpur, and others. He is a regular contributor to business press, teaches at premier business schools, and is a sought-after speaker for corporate events.
He has authored three books: "Reflections, a compilation of Shivs articles", "The Right Choice, Resolving Ten career dilemmas", and "The Art of Management."
With over 15 years of professional experience, Mr. Puneet Pratap Singh is a subject matter expert and regional director of research and analytics with Gallup APAC. He works closely with consulting teams in South and Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and the Middle East to develop strategies that help Gallup clients improve their performance.
Since joining Gallup in 2012, Puneet has worked in Gallup’s Bangalore, Bangkok, Singapore, and London offices. Throughout this time, his primary focus has been driving organizational change with clients in manufacturing, hospitality, IT, automotive, banking and telecoms industry sectors. In addition to being a recognized public speaker, Puneet also leads Gallup’s State of the Global Workplace research initiative for the South Asian region.
Puneet has an MBA with a marketing concentration from the Institute of Management Technology in Ghaziabad, Delhi, and a bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU).
With over 15 years of professional experience, Ms. Rashi Singh leads Gallup’s Business Development and Consulting teams in South Asia, helping organizations apply Gallup's strengths-based approach and engagement science to solve critical business challenges. She works closely with clients to enhance both workplace and marketplace practices, driving improved business performance. In her role, Rashi partners with organizations to design and deploy customized business solutions rooted in a deep understanding of client needs. Her focus is on building strategies that foster sustainable growth and long-term success.
Since joining Gallup in 2014, Rashi has worked across Gallup’s offices in India, Thailand, Singapore, and London. She has advised clients across banking, insurance, IT, manufacturing, and telecom, including some of India’s largest conglomerates and public-sector enterprises.
Rashi holds an MBA in Finance from the Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon, and a bachelor’s in technology degree in Mining from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi.
Mr. Manoj Sharma is a distinguished HR leader with over 30 years of experience. As President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Aarti Industries Limited (AIL), he has been instrumental in driving transformation and innovation across the people function. With a strong focus on human capitalisation, Mr. Manoj has championed a culture of excellence, continuous growth and employee engagement at Aarti Industries.
A significant milestone in this journey has been Aarti Industries being recognised with the 2026 Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award (GEWA) for Employee Engagement, a prestigious global recognition for organisations demonstrating exceptional employee engagement and workplace culture. AIL is among the first manufacturing companies in India to receive this recognition. He has played a key role in shaping this thriving culture through initiatives focused on manager capability, trust-led leadership, employee engagement and continuous development, including the Aarti Engaging Leader (AEL) framework. AIL has also received several prestigious accolades, including the Company of the Era Award, Hurun Industry Award and FICCI HR Innovation Award, along with recognition from FICCI for Excellence in Exports and Sustainability Driving Circular Economy in Chemicals.
He holds Master's degrees in Psychology, Business Administration and Business Excellence and is a member of the FICCI National HR Committee. He was recognised as HR Leader of the Year – Large Scale Organisation by The Economic Times in 2021. Before joining Aarti Industries, Manoj held strategic roles with Aditya Birla Group and Vedanta Resources. He also actively mentors and guides startups in HR Tech and People Analytics, sharing his experience in building people-centric organisations.
Mr. Naveen Narayanan is the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Biocon, leading the company’s people strategy to support long-term growth and its global ESG agenda. With 25 years of experience across Hospitality, Supply Chain, Banking, Retail, Travel and Information Technology, he brings extensive expertise in human capital strategy, digital transformation and building high-performing, inclusive workplaces.
He previously served as CHRO of Biocon Biologics from September 2021 to March 2026, driving a high-performance culture across 30+ geographies. Earlier, he designed and deployed enterprise performance solutions for the UAE Government covering 63 departments and 90,000 people. He has also held leadership roles with Accenture India, HCL Global, Standard Chartered GDS and Publicis Sapient, driving large-scale business and talent transformations. At HCL, he helped elevate the company’s LinkedIn Talent Brand Index ranking from #8 to #2 and led a global talent transformation at Publicis Sapient as it transitioned towards digital business transformation.
A recognised thought leader and public speaker, Mr. Naveen has addressed platforms including the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) Forum. His areas of expertise include global talent management, digital thinking, workplace diversity and human capital strategy. He has authored articles for Gartner and a book on philosophy, Inner Silence. His commitment to social impact includes running an NGO in Chennai that provides scholarships and mentoring to more than 200 economically disadvantaged girls. He also serves on the working board of Udayan Care.
Mr. Naveen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Madras, a gold-medal postgraduate qualification from the Institute of Hotel Management, Mumbai, and an Executive MBA from IIM Kolkata.
