IOD Announcement: MoU with the Centre for Good Governance, DRSTUAoA, Nainital
DR. R. S. TOLIA UTTARAKHAND ACADEMY OF ADMINISTRATION, NAINITAL
On September 27, 2024, the Centre for Good Governance (CGG), Dr. R. S. Tolia Uttarakhand Academy of Administration, Nainital, and the Institute of Directors (IOD), India signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the IOD headquarters in New Delhi, India. This marks the beginning of a three-year partnership aimed at fostering collaboration in the areas of governance, public administration, and corporate capacity building.
Lt. Gen. Surinder Nath, PVSM, AVSM (Retd.), President of the Institute of Directors, India, and Mr. Bhagwati Prasad Pandey, IAS (Retd.), CEO of the CGG and Director General of Dr. R. S. Tolia Uttarakhand Academy of Administration, Nainital, represented their respective organisations at the signing ceremony.
The CGG, part of the Uttarakhand Academy of Administration, has been offering expertise in research, training, and development since 2004. The Institute of Directors, established in 1990, is India's leading institution for corporate governance training, serving corporate board members and senior executives from both public and private sectors. The MoU establishes a framework for cooperation between the two institutions, focusing on capacity building for public servants, government undertakings, and corporate functionaries. This includes training programs, faculty exchanges, and workshops on areas such as public policy, governance, project management, and corporate governance.
