IOD Special Talk - The Power of Shared Leadership: Turning Knowledge into Action, and Purpose into Progress

Good evening ladies and gentleman, first of all thank you for having me. I am thrilled to be here amongst all of you and the great work IOD is doing is amazing. It is my pleasure to be a part of it.
We have been fortunate to learn from great leaders, the kind of leaders whose vision wasn't just for today, but for generations to come.
Today I would like to speak from the heart. Not just about where we are, but where we are heading and who we are becoming along the way. I believe we are in a time where knowledge is not just a power, it's the greatest gift we can give one another. The more we share what we know, the more we grow not just as in individuals but as a community, society and of course as leaders. I just don't see a room semi-full, half full of people, I see future leaders, thinkers and builders. People who will shape industries, inspire change, people who can move our world forward. And I feel it is our responsibility, not just mine but all of us to make sure that those who are ready to rise are equipped with more than ambition. They need perspective, they need space and most of all they need guidance from all of you. That's why I believe so strongly in building a culture where we share knowledge freely, lift others up and open doors especially for those who have had to knock a little bit harder. We have been fortunate to learn from great leaders, the kind of leaders whose vision wasn't just for today, but for generations to come. Their belief in growth, in unity and inclusion has brought us to a place of incredible opportunities. It's because of their vision that we now find ourselves at the center of the future where ideas are born and challenges are met with courage, and where possibilities is no longer just a word, but it's a fact and a direction.
Real leadership to me is not about having the loudest voice in the room, it's about having the clearest purpose.
But here is what I have learnt, being at the center of the future, comes with responsibility it means we just don't celebrate our success, we share what helped us get there. We don't just rise alone, we bring others with us and we don't just lead, we listen, we learn and then we evolve that's the kind of leadership I hope we all continue to grow into not just by title but by mindset because real leadership to me is not about having the loudest voice in the room, it's about having the clearest purpose. It's about turning knowledge into action. It's about giving others the courage to speak, to build and to lead in their own way. So, as we face the future together, with all of its challenges and all of its promises, I invite you to ask yourself, a question, or may be a couple, what will I create, what will I share and most importantly who will I help to rise because those answers, I believe are what shaped through leadership. Let's build a world where women and men lead side by side, where every voice matters and where we turn our collective knowledge into something powerful enough to build a better, more compassionate and more united future.
Thank you very much and to the future we build together.
