IOD Announcement: IOD Delegation meets Hon'ble Union Cabinet Minister Mr. Nitin J. Gadkari
A high-level delegation from the Institute of Directors (IOD), India, comprising Mr. Desh Depak Verma, IAS (Retd.), Principal Advisor; Mr. Pradeep Chaturvedi, Vice President; and Mr. Manoj K. Raut, CEO & Secretary-General, recently met Mr. Nitin J. Gadkari, Hon'ble Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India.
During the meeting, the delegation formally extended an invitation to the Hon'ble Minister to grace the occasion as 'Chief Guest' and present the prestigious Golden Peacock Awards (GPA) at the forthcoming National Conference on Business Excellence and Leadership, scheduled to be held on May 14, 2026 at The Ashok Hotel, New Delhi .
The proposed participation of the Hon'ble Minister marks a significant milestone for IOD and its flagship GP Awards, further strengthening the institution's commitment to promoting excellence in corporate governance, ethical leadership, and sustainable business practices. The presence of a senior Union Minister is expected to greatly enrich the conference proceedings and provide valuable insights to industry leaders, board members, and professionals in attendance.
The Golden Peacock Awards have earned global recognition as a benchmark of excellence across key domains such as corporate governance, corporate social responsibility, innovation, and leadership.
