IOD Announcement: Mr. Chakravarthi Mohan, IAS (Retd.), Appointed as Honorary Chairman of IOD-Bengaluru Region
The Bengaluru Regional Office of the Institute of Directors (IOD), India announces the appointment of Mr. Chakravarthi Mohan, IAS (Retd.) as its new Honorary Chairman. With over 36+ years' work experience with the government, Chakravarthi Mohan, Secretary to Government, Planning, Programme Monitoring & Statistics Department, Bangalore, Karnataka and Secretary to Government, Women and Child Development, Empowerment of Differently Abled Senior Citizens Department retired from Indian Administrative Service on the 31 May 2019. He is known to have strengthened requisite Strategies in Administration and Governance in areas of Education, Health, Environment and Industry in a globally innovative, environment friendly, replicable and demonstrable manner benefitting stakeholders in urban and rural areas.
Post retirement , Mr. Chakravarthi Mohan has travelled extensively around the world and endeavoured to develop, improve and institutionalise Sustainable Strategies both in Public and Private Sectors. Known for his clarity of vision, systems-oriented thinking, and collaborative leadership approach, Chakravarthi Mohan's professional journey with hands-on knowledge and experience obtained over 36+ years of working with Government and 6+ Years in the Private Sector and his experience across planning, implementation oversight, and strategic governance aligns closely with the Institute of Director's mission to advance boardroom effectiveness, ethical leadership, and sustainable governance practices.
As Honorary Chairman of the Bengaluru Regional Office, Mr. Chakravarthi Mohan will guide the Institute's regional initiatives, strengthening engagement with industry leaders, policymakers, and board professionals, while furthering the IOD's role as a catalyst for responsible and forward-looking governance to be Globally showcased and replicated.
