Dr. Krishna Prasad Chigurupati is the founder Chairman and Managing Director of the Granules India Limited, where he has been instrumental in transforming the company into one of the world's largest pharmaceutical manufacturers. A pioneer with almost forty years of experience, Dr. Prasad identified a critical industry gap and bridged it by pioneering Pharmaceutical Formulation Intermediates (PFIs), creating a new trend in pharmaceutical manufacturing. He was at the forefront of the global response to the Covid-19 pandemic, tirelessly exporting essential medicines across the globe. His commitment to sustainability is inspiring, and he leads Granules India on an ambitious initiative for Green Pharmaceutical Products, aiming to achieve the twin goals of 'Healthy People and a Healthy Planet'. For his contribution to the Indian Pharmaceutical Industry and Innovation, Dr. Prasad was awarded the prestigious Economic Times Lifetime Achievement Award in 2022.
