IOD News: University of York (UoY) and the Institute of Directors (IOD), India Signs a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)
The University of York (UoY) and the Institute of Directors (IOD), India formalised a strategic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on February 19, 2026. The collaboration is aimed at strengthening professional capabilities and fostering engagement across academia and industry, both in the United Kingdom and in India, including the University of York's forthcoming campus in Mumbai.

The partnership envisages a range of collaborative initiatives focused on enhancing student employability and industry interface. These include internships, applied learning projects, mentoring, and employer led academic engagements across the university's UK and Mumbai campuses.
This MoU represents a significant step in deepening institutional collaboration and building on an established foundation of trust and shared purpose. It reflects a joint commitment to advancing learning, leadership, and capacity building in areas such as governance, urban development, corporate responsibility, and sustainable infrastructure.
By strengthening linkages between academia and business communities in India and the United Kingdom, the collaboration is expected to foster meaningful dialogue, encourage innovation, and support cross border exchange of knowledge and expertise, contributing to a more inclusive and sustainable global ecosystem.
